Wentling: Mercer County Historical Society to Receive PHMC Funds

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) has awarded $4,000 in funding to the Mercer County Historical Society. This funding has been awarded through PHMC’s Cultural and Historical Grant Program. The program provides general operating support to Pennsylvania museums and historical societies not directly supported by other state programs.

Wentling to Host Legislative Open Houses

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) is inviting residents in the 7th Legislative District to join him for Legislative Open Houses on Thursday, Dec. 7, and Friday, Dec. 8. Constituents can stop by his district office in Greenville, located at 182 Main St., on Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. The Shenango Valley open house will take place Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at 689 N. Hermitage Road, Suite 2, in Hermitage.

Wentling Pushing for Public Comment on Broadband Digital Equity Plan

Wentling Announces $17,000 in Grants to Three Volunteer Fire Companies

Wentling to Host 100-Mile GAP Trail Ride

WHAT: PA House Cycling and Trail Caucus co-chair Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) invites fellow cyclists to join him Monday, Sept. 25, for a 100-mile ride along the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) trail. The ride will start in McKeesport and head south along the trail to Meyersdale. The ride is a celebration of Pennsylvania Trails Month.

Wentling Announces $45,000 Grant for Digital Literacy Program

The program is made up of eight-week, in-person cohorts with at least 40 individuals with low levels of digital literacy. The project aims to improve their technology skills, especially career-search skills.

Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) is encouraging any Mercer County veteran who may have lost important service forms to seek the help of both the Mercer County Veterans Affairs office the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). These organizations will assist veterans with locating their lost DD Form 214 (DD-214) and other military documents to get credit for time served and receive important benefits they have earned.

Wentling Backs Bills Supporting Pennsylvania’s Small Business Owners

Wentling Announces $250,000 in State Funding for Workforce Development in Mercer County

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the West Central Workforce Development Board will receive $250,000 from a Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry grant. The grant will support a West Central Workforce Development Board program to provide job training to young adults who were formerly incarcerated. The Community Connections program links these young adults to youth reentry project partners, who will determine skill sets and training gaps, the need for supportive services, and training options. Each participant will be assigned a joint adult mentoring team for advice throughout program participation.
