HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) has awarded $4,000 in funding to the Mercer County Historical Society. This funding has been awarded through PHMC’s Cultural and Historical Grant Program. The program provides general operating support to Pennsylvania museums and historical societies not directly supported by other state programs.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the West Central Workforce Development Board will receive $250,000 from a Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry grant. The grant will support a West Central Workforce Development Board program to provide job training to young adults who were formerly incarcerated. The Community Connections program links these young adults to youth reentry project partners, who will determine skill sets and training gaps, the need for supportive services, and training options. Each participant will be assigned a joint adult mentoring team for advice throughout program participation.
