Wentling Announces $3.8 Million PENNVEST Loan for Sharpsville Water System Improvements
October 21, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced Sharpsville Borough has been awarded a $3,798,000 loan through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to rehabilitate two water storage tanks and replace aging water lines.
“I was pleased to help get this financing for improvements that will strengthen Sharpsville’s water system,” Wentling said. “Residents depend on safe, reliable water service every day, and this project will help the borough address aging infrastructure and recurring problems.”
The project includes replacing approximately 5,500 feet of water lines along Oak, Fourth, Fifth, Cedar, Ninth, 12th and 13th streets. Work will also include replacing fire hydrants and related equipment in those areas and reconnecting existing water service lines at property lines.
