HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has awarded $26,000 in tax credits to area businesses due to their investment in two Mercer County nonprofits through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).
For its investments in the Community Action Partnership of Mercer County, First National Bank of PA has been awarded $16,250 in tax credits. For investments in the Mercer County Food Bank, Hudson Companies and Mercer County State Bank will receive a combined $9,750 in tax credits.
“This program is a win-win” Wentling said. “Both the Community Action Partnership and the Mercer County Food Bank do wonderful things for our area. These businesses recognize that good work and invest in them to help expand what these programs can offer. That generosity is then rewarded through NAP in the form of tax credits.”
