Wentling: Nearly $943,000 Awarded to Redevelop Former Damascus-Bishop Tube Company Site

July 23, 2024

GREENVILLE – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded nearly $943,000 in aid to Greenville-Reynolds Development Corporation to assist with the redevelopment of the former Damascus-Bishop Tube Company site. The funding package consists of a $385,160 grant and a low-interest loan of $577,740.

“Greenville-Reynolds Development Corporation has a great track record of providing a home for both new and existing businesses,” Wentling said. “They’ve already invested heavily in the former Damascus-Bishop Tube Company site, and this additional funding will help to reestablish this space as a gateway into the industrial park.”

This funding was awarded through the CFA’s Business in Our Sites program. The program is designed to empower communities to attract growing and expanding businesses by helping them build an inventory of ready sites.
