HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Crawford/Erie/Lawrence/Mercer) announced today the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is now accepting grant applications, through the Boating Facility Grant program, as new boating activity continues to be on the rise.
“This is a great opportunity for townships, boroughs, local governments and nonprofit groups to seek necessary funding to help them on a wide range of projects,” Wentling said. “From site acquisition, development and expansion to construction projects and tackling invasive species, municipalities now have a chance to maintain quality conditions to meet the rising demand of boating.”
According to the program, private businesses and service clubs are being recommended to partner with their local county or municipality to apply for funding. All requests require a 50% match.
The deadline for applications is Dec. 30.
