Grant Workshops Available in November, Says Wentling
October 25, 2021
HARRISBURG – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Crawford/Erie/Lawrence/Mercer) announced today the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hosting a virtual grant workshop for Western Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon.
“From trails to streamside buffers and land acquisition, there is a wide range of options for which officials can seek funding,” said Wentling. “This is a wonderful opportunity for them to ask questions and get ahead of the game in order to achieve their goal.”
The purpose of this workshop is to help prospective applicants generate ideas ahead of submitting a grant application to the Community Conservation Grant Program, which opens Jan. 18, and closes April 6, 2022, at 4 p.m.
DCNR, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation staff will be online to discuss the grant program selection criteria, review current program priorities and discuss eligible project categories.
