Wentling: $8.5 Million Awarded for Mercer County Improvement Projects
HERMITAGE – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the Office of the Budget has awarded $8.5 million for improvement projects in the 7th Legislative District. The funding is being awarded through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).
“While these projects vary, they’re all aiming to make Mercer County a better place,” Wentling said. “This funding recognizes the important part these organizations play in our community.”
The following organizations have been awarded RACP grants:

Alpine Springs Linesville LLC – $1 million to expand the Alpine Springs Recovery Center to a 68-bed facility.
•
Lindy Paving Inc. – $6 million for constructing a new energy-efficient asphalt plant.
•
City of Hermitage – $1.25 million for the construction of nine pickleball courts and the expansion of parking and pedestrian accessibility at the Hermitage Athletic Complex.
•
Thiel College – $250,000 to renovate and expand the Thiel College Academic Center.
The RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the design, acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
